U16 Jr. Sabres Continue Winning Ways in Detroit Super Showcase

On a winning streak of 5-0, The Jr. Sabres latest opponent to fall in defeat were the Madison Capitals.

Outscoring Madison by a score of 7-2, the Sabs started of their Super Showcase in Detroit not missing a beat. After a 6+ hour bus ride from none other than "Steve the bus driver", Sabs didn't waste time in getting off to a first period lead and never looked back. Perhaps watching the movie "Miracle" on the bus inspired the boys! Goals in this game were had by Coyne(2), Sucese, Drescher, Gonzalez and Kuhn. Ryan Cook also had a goal -- blasting an absolute HOWITZER from the point, high glove side. Assists in this game were had by Geary(3), Sucese(2), Cook, McGee, Seitz, Fritz and Lee -- Yes--Lee!! - his first point of the season!
The score was not really indicative of how dominant the Sabs were as the Caps goalie really played well.
Coach Brozyna was very upbeat and encouraged by the first game of the Super Showcase. He was very happy with the puck movement that the team has been working very hard on in practice all year long.

Next up will be a 2 game day, facing Milwaukee Admirals in the afternoon, and St. Loius in the evening.
